Today is the 107th anniversary of the great , the first successful socialist uprising in the world, which transformed Russia from a poor and backward feudal country into a leading economic, political, military, scientific, technical, cultural and educational power!

The revolution illuminated the peoples' struggle for social liberation.

😂🤣😂

@yogthos @IAmSpartacus the western propaganda is still focused against the guy who industrialized russia and beat the nazis. I don't say he was a saint but he wasn't certainly not ruling the country alone and his marxists texts on multi cultural and decentralized russia are still valuable.

@bluevelvet321 @IAmSpartacus the funny part that even the CIA admits this:

Even in Stalin's time there was collective leadership. The Western idea of a dictator within the Communist setup is exaggerated. Misunderstandings on that subject are caused by a lack of comprehension of the real nature and organization of the Communist's power structure.

@yogthos @IAmSpartacus in France leftist anti communism was lead by a faction of troskysts. These guys were infiltrated by the CIA in order to destroy the powerfull french communist party of the time by the left. The method used was to treat them as fascists saying that these proletarians had conservative ideas on societal matters. But then and now not all troskysts are atlantists obviously.

@bluevelvet321 @IAmSpartacus unfortunately this ended up being extremely effective

@yogthos @IAmSpartacus yes but they didn't destroy the contradictions of the capitalism system so we will rise again. We were the first to develop pre communism with marcus baboeuf a d Robespierre. And the bochevicks sang the marseillaise during the october revolution. I hope our revolutionary culture is not dead...

@bluevelvet321 @IAmSpartacus exactly, all they've done is delay the inevitable. I'm very optimistic that all the hard learned lessons from the past century will be rediscovered going forward

@yogthos @bluevelvet321 I am also optimistic, but I think things will get much worse before they get better.
As a counterpoint to the past, I believe that we are now in the interwar period in Weimar.
So we have before us a fascism that we must crush.

@IAmSpartacus @bluevelvet321 that's the impression I get as well. The right wing narrative is a lot more compatible with the mainstream, so it's easier for people to adopt than communist ideas that run counter to everything they've been taught.

The challenge for communists at this time is to come up with a narrative that’s easy to digest, and inspires people, giving them a long term vision for the future that's worth fighting for.

@bluevelvet321 @yogthos The revolutionary spirit in France is certainly not dead.
It has deep roots. From the Revolution to the Paris Commune. All it takes is a spark.

btw "Robespierre" was my last acount on Twitter before I abandoned it because of Musk
